Brian T. Pruitt, MD, FACP received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1972. While a resident in Internal Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, he began a life-long interest in breast cancer. After his residency, he studied as a fellow in Medical Oncology at the Wisconsin Cancer Center for four years. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. In 1981, he moved to Amarillo to work at the newly-opened Harrington Cancer Center, where he continues to maintain an active clinical practice. He enjoys many community activities, including the editorial board of Panhandle Health, the Goldston Cancer Registry, the Amarillo Institutional Review Board (IRB), as well as the Amarillo Symphony, Chamber Music Amarillo and the Amarillo College Community Band.
