Thahir Farzan, MD

Dr. Farzan grew up in Sri Lanka and received his medical degree from Nishter Medical College in Multan, Pakistan. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Mount Vernon Hospital/New York Medical College, in New York, where he was also the Chief Resident, then a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York. Dr. Farzan then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Following this, Dr. Farzan completed a three-year fellowship in Gynecological Surgical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where he was trained in advanced robotic surgery as well. He was recognized with an award for Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. He is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and in Obstetrics & Gynecology by American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. His special interests include Gynecologic Oncology and Robotic Gynecological cancer Surgery.
